Beautiful presentation and even better flavor!
Salads
Lithuanian Summer Garden Salad
Each summer we would be waiting impatiently for 1st vegetables to ripe so we would be able to make this delicious, refreshing salad.
Butter Bean Salad with Infused Olive Oil and Zucchini Ribbons
This salad is something out of this world. It can be a quick lunch (even if it requires oil infusion, don’t be scared), side dish or served as an appetizer. Enough talking, let’s get started!
Krab and Pineapple Salad
This salad was very popular 10-15 years ago and still is in Lithuanian parties. My dear friend Rasele taught me maybe 20 years ago how to make it and Today I would like to share it with you. It requires just a few ingredients, quick chopping, mix and that’s it.
Dirty Martini Salad
Dirty Vodka Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives is my absolute favorite drink and when I order at a restaurant or make it at home I would always have some extra blue cheese stuffed olives on the side. Dirty Vodka Martini was my inspiration for this salad and it turned out outstanding. Beautiful presentation and you just can’t stop eating and smacking. It’s salty, peppery, cheesy and olive oil smooths everything out. Will be making it all the time! Let me show you how I made it.
Quinoa and Roasted Sweet Potato Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette
Colorful, full of flavor and texture salad. Can be served hot, room temperature or cold. Either way it’s delicious! I served it as a side dish with a pan seared cod, but if you would like, you can make it vegetarian dinner. Quinoa and all the vegetables make a full nutritious meal.
Strawberry Hearts, Blue Cheese and Greens Salad
When you are looking for light, delicious appetizer, look no more. Quick, easy, light, juicy and full of flavor.
Healthy and Quick Dinner | Roasted Chicken with Rainbow Quinoa Salad
Delicious, healthy and colorful dinner. Chicken is the best comfort food in our house. We would have roasted chicken once a week and I would make extra 2-3 portions so we would have leftovers for next day’s lunch to reheat or to make some delicious sandwich. I try not to be boring and always come up with some new variations. Here is our from this week 🙂
Grilled zucchini, feta cheese and black salt salad
Very decorative side dish or appetizer idea. Easy to make and could be made a few hours in advance. I paired with lamb chops and it was very delicious. It can be made a few hours in advance and kept covered with plastic wrap in the refrigerator.
Tuna carpaccio
Beautiful starter and star of the table. Very flavorful, impressive but does not require lots of work. Who does not like that?!
