Ingredients

  • 8 chicken thighs, bone in and skin on

  • 1 tbsp lemon pepper

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp dried marjoram

  • 1 tsp dried basil

  • A few springs of fresh thyme or 1 tsp of dried thyme

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1/2-1 orange juice

  • 1 lemon juice

  • 1 tsp ground fennel seeds

  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika

  • 1 tsp Szechuan pepper flakes

Let’s make it

  • Mix seasoning together with orange and lemon juices, oil and honey. Add thighs and marinate for couple of hours or over night.
  • Preheat the airfryer to 375°F and let it preheat for about 5 minutes. This is important to ensure that your chicken cooks evenly and crispy.
  • Tuck the thighs like in a roll (watch my video on that) and add to an airfryer. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until nice caramelization. Flip and continue cooking until it reaches 170 F internal temperature. I use Meater thermomether, which is wireless and fits perfectly in an airfyer. If it browns too much (honey is the reson), you might want to reduce the temperature to 350 F to finish cooking.
  • Serve with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
