Very flavorful Dumpling Soup

Meat grinder


  • For dumplings
  • 1.5 lb. or 680 g. of ground meat (pork or chicken)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/2 cup of water 

  • 1 tbsp. of chili oil  

  • 1 garlic clove  

  • 1 tsp of grated ginger 

  • 1 package of gyoza wrappers

  • For the stock
  • 2.5 L (2.5 quarts) of water 

  • Shitake mushrooms (you can use any other mushrooms, but shitake has the most of umami flavor)

  • 3 tbsp. of sesame oil 

  • 2 tbsp. of (Suka Toyo) dipping sauce or you can substitute with 2-3 tbsp. of any other spicy Asian vinegar

  • 3 tbsp. of fish sauce 

  • 3 tbsp. of soy sauce   

  • Lime and cilantro for serving
