Flavorful, juicy and delicious tequila lime chicken served with coconut lime rice. Easy and quick dinner idea. It has lots of citrusy flavor.
Charcoal Grilled Tequila Lime ChickenCourse: MainDifficulty: Easy
4 1/2 lbs. of chicken drumsticks or any other parts you prefer
2 tbsp. of sea salt
1 tbsp. of black pepper
1 tbsp. of Szechuan pepper flakes or 1/2 tbsp. of red chili flakes
1 head of garlic, pressed or finely grated
1/2 cup of chopped cilantro, more for serving
1/2 cup of tequila
3 limes, both juice and zest, more limes for serving
1/4 cup of honey
Let’s make it
- Mix all the ingredients together and let is sit in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. The ideal would be for 4-6 hours.
- Preheat the charcoal grill to 450-500 F and grill the chicken flipping occasionally until it reaches internal temperature at least 165 F.
- Serve with lime wedges and coconut lime rice or your favorite salad.
