Salmon carpaccio | beautiful and delicious appetizer

Salmon carpaccio is always a delicious decoration on my table.

NOTE: Keep in mind, you need to use a sushi grade fish for it. You can not just buy a salmon from the store and use it. Fresh salmon might have parasites.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz. of very thinly sliced sushi grade salmon or tuna

  • 2 tbsp. of capers

  • 3 tbsp. of thinly shredded or sliced parmesan cheese

  • a couple of very thin slices of red onion

  • A good handful of baby lettuce or arugula

  • Freshly grated black pepper

  • 5-6 large caperberries

  • Raspberry vinaigrette

Let’s make it

  • Get a large platter and lay down all the ingredients, starting from the salmon.
  • Sprinkle with raspberry vinaigrette right before serving.
  • I decorated with eatable flowers from my garden.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • Can be made a few hours in advance and kept in the refrigerator covered. If made in advance, add the vinaigrette only right before serving.
