Fig Season: Breakfast Idea

Figs are high in natural sugars, minerals and soluble fiber. Figs are rich in minerals including potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and copper and are a good source of antioxidant vitamins A and K that contribute to health and wellness. 

You can tell when figs are ripe and ready for harvesting by giving them a gentle squeeze to see whether they are soft. They come off easily from the tree.

Here in California fig season is started and I have an idea for breakfast with fresh figs.


  • 3/4 of the cup of greek yogurt

  • 1-2 fresh figs, chopped

  • A pinch of cinnamon

  • 1-2 tbsp. of raw honey

Let’s make it

  • Assemble everything in the bowl and enjoy!
