Grilled Bourbon Oysters

Recipe by Sweet ZivileDifficulty: Easy, Quick

When oysters are in season we try them in all forms. This is one of my husband’s favorites.

Very easy to make! Shhh.. don’t tell him.. haha

Ingredients

  • A dozen of shucked oyster

  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, room temperature

  • 3 tbsp. of bourbon

  • 2 tbsp. of honey or brown sugar

  • 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, minced or 1 tbsp. of chipotle sauce

Let’s make it

  • In a food processor place butter, garlic, bourbon, honey or brown sugar and chipotle and blend it well.
  • Place around a teaspoon of the mixture on each shucked oyster.
  • Preheat grill to 400-450 F and grill it just until butter starts to bubble and caramelizes a tiny bit. It will take only around 2 min.
  • Serve it immediately.

Notes

  • You can make it in the oven. Just place it under the broiler for 2-3 min.
  • I use salt in the tray so oysters stay stable and sauce stays in oysters.
